About The Position
As a Substation Technician, you will support the successful delivery of substation construction projects by contributing to installation activities and developing your technical skills in a hands-on field environment. Working under the guidance of Foremen and Supervisors, you will assist in executing key scopes of work, gain exposure to substation construction practices, and build a strong foundation in safety, quality, and productivity standards. This role is ideal for individuals looking to grow their career within the utilities and substation construction field.
Requirements
- Exposure or experience in conduit installation and routing
- Exposure or experience in ground grid installation and basic grounding practices
- Exposure or experience in precast trench installation and layout
- Exposure or experience in cable tray installation for cable management
- Exposure or experience in structural steel installation support
- Exposure or experience in apparatus installation assistance
- Exposure or experience in bus work installation support
- Exposure or experience in low-voltage cable installation and basic wiring
- Ability to develop a working knowledge of substation materials, consumables, and tools, and understanding of their application in the field.
- Ability to demonstrate strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow direction while contributing to team success.
- Possess a safety-first mindset, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding construction environment.
- Motivated to build technical capabilities and advance within the substation construction field.
