About The Position

The Relationship Specialist assists with new and existing complex clients that the Relationship Manager oversees with their Business Development Officer. This role establishes and maintains a “trusted specialist” relationship with the Relationship Manager based on knowledgeable advice that is aligned to the RM’s current client portfolio they manage. Acting as a part of the Customer Experience team, this position works in tandem with their Relationship Manager and internal partners (i.e. operations, technology and sales) to ensure delivery of products and services is completed within agreed upon timeframes, with full ownership of end-to-end documentation process from the Relationship Manager.

Requirements

  • Five+ years of work experience in same capacity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Working knowledge of the personal computer; Word, Excel, and other programs needed to do the job
  • Ability to comprehend technical written material; organizational skills; problem solving; time management

Responsibilities

  • Assists the RM with the individual annual production and growth goals for Business Development Officers
  • Assists the RM with documentation needs for new accounts, cash management services, lending products, and day to day documents
  • Assists the RM with daily clients needs such as, but not limited to statement reconciliation, statement requests, address changes, online banking changes, check ordering, debit card ordering and other client needs that may arise
  • Assists the RM with BSA exceptions, new account exceptions, and BO certifications
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of the client’s needs based on the review and analysis of personal bank business financial data gathered by the RM and BDO
  • Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of products and services
  • Maintain compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities: knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training
  • Keeps up to date on regulation changes
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual training
  • May be asked to mentor, or train others
  • Provides practical, relevant ideas and perspectives on processes or process improvement
  • Actively engages, demonstrates, and fosters the Five Star Bank Mission, Vision and Values
  • Assists Relationship Manager with customer follow up for documentation pertaining to loans and deposits
  • May assist with writing processes and/or procedures that are needed within the Customer Experience Team
  • Comply with all Anti-Money Laundering Laws and Regulations
