This role serves as a strategic partner for important Allianz customers and relationships. The Relationship Manager will build and maintain strong internal and external business relationships, be responsible for key account management, and provide a concierge-level service experience. This position may represent the Department on projects and initiatives. The Relationship Manager will report to the Senior Director Relationship Management. Key responsibilities include initiating and providing education, training, and communication support for important field partners. The role involves identifying areas for service and process improvements and opportunities to increase sales. The Relationship Manager will meet with field partners during home office and field office events and visits, and represent Allianz Life at industry meetings and in working groups. Additionally, the role handles complex, escalated service issues and accommodation requests. This includes responsibility for intake, research, collaboration with partners to determine resolution, and clear communication internally and externally throughout the process. The Relationship Manager will also participate and lead department/division projects, acting as a subject matter expert to recommend solutions and facilitate decisions that improve sales and/or the service experience for customers. The role also involves the utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience required: Demonstrated relationship management and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record of strong customer service skills and ability to handle complex/escalated situations.
  • Four year degree required or equivalent experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
