About The Position

Experian is seeking a Relationship Manager with experience in building, retaining, and expanding long-term strategic client relationships within the financial services sector. This role involves guiding clients through the assessment, purchase, and implementation of Experian solutions, ensuring alignment with their business and technical goals. The Relationship Manager will be responsible for exceeding sales performance targets, collaborating with internal teams to deliver client value, and managing a defined portfolio of strategic accounts. Key activities include managing daily client interactions, coordinating support, ensuring seamless execution of contracted services, and driving growth through multi-year renewals, upselling, and cross-selling. The position reports to the Vice President, Preferred Midwest Region, and involves engagement with Experian North America's senior leadership.

Requirements

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • Experience reaching and exceeding goals
  • 5+ years sales or relationship management experience within the financial services industry or related markets
  • Experience managing complex, mature, growing strategic client relationships
  • Fluency in data, software, and financial services solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the data and analytics ecosystem
  • Ability to forge relationships with decision makers and senior executives across departments
  • Ability to present industry-specific customer insights to clients through quarterly business reviews and executive briefings
  • Use customer service skills to grow and cultivate client relationships
  • Ability to travel
  • Must reside in the Midwest Region, between Ohio and Utah.

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing customer relationships to increase adoption, use, and growth of Experian's products and services, with a focus on Credit Services and Decision Analytics, but also collaborating with other department solutions.
  • Support clients' strategic plans to ensure execution of relevant Experian-supported projects, acting as the business liaison between the client and internal departments (including Project Management and Client Success Teams) to ensure client satisfaction and measurable ROI.
  • Educate clients on the latest Experian products and services relevant to customer-focused feedback and shared industry insights through ongoing sales consultation, identifying challenges and offering data-driven recommendations.
  • Partner with a team of subject matter experts, including sales consultants/engineers.
  • Conduct frequent client communication, including weekly/monthly/quarterly status calls (virtual) and travel to client locations.
  • Collaborate with the Client Executive partner to achieve full responsibility for meeting annual sales revenue targets through client renewals and organic growth of existing accounts via cross-sell/upsell activities.
  • Manage sales pipeline (Salesforce), revenue tracking, and forecasting to support team planning and financial reporting.
  • Negotiate complex client contracts for both standard and custom Experian products and services.
  • Define and own strategic account plans to unlock investments focused on client's evolving goals.
  • Research and engage with assigned client organizations to drive alignment through executive and daily influencers to meet dynamic strategic account plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to structure operational and strategic plans.
  • Partner with team members, including Consulting and Client Support Teams, to ensure scoping, pricing, contracting, execution, and support of both standard and custom projects.
  • Work with Client Support Teams, Product Management, and Marketing personnel to ensure ongoing Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback and product/service education is maintained across the portfolio.
  • Work with a wide range of internal groups, including Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Finance.
  • Develop relationships through communication with external and company partners.
  • Create compelling presentations referencing relevant market trends, best practices, and case studies.
