About The Position

Cambridge Computer is seeking a Relationship Manager for Enterprise IT & High-Performance Computing (HPC) in Atlanta. This role involves acting as a commercial conductor for enterprise accounts across academia, research institutions, and Fortune 500 enterprises. The company operates with a unique business model combining technology consulting with an independent technology brokerage, acting as a fiduciary and 'Buyer's Agent' for clients. This allows for the design and delivery of high-caliber infrastructure solutions across physical, virtual, and cloud environments, comparing methodologies and designing customized multi-vendor architectures. The role requires leading complex, multi-component infrastructure engagements, managing 6-to-12-month sales cycles with deal sizes ranging from $100,000 to several million dollars. Success depends on resilience, pipeline management, and long-term relationship building. An 'egoless conductor' mindset is needed, leveraging pre-sales engineering, PhDs, and executive resources. Meticulous operational hygiene, including clean administration of quotes, legal checks, CRM documentation, and logistics protocols, is essential. The company offers an uncapped, percentage-based commission model and encourages an entrepreneurial mindset where the individual acts as the business owner of their book of business, with expectations for prospecting and engagement management using provided software tools.
