About The Position

This front-line customer-facing role involves building long-term customer relationships and educating customers on Exchange Bank's full range of products and services. The position handles both teller and new account transactions, aiming to provide a superior customer experience during every interaction. The role requires effective communication to identify opportunities for cross-selling and referrals. There are three levels of Relationship Banker, with compensation ranging from $20.40 to $23.02 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.

Requirements

Confident communication with customers from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.
Positive, upbeat, and professional personality.
Experience with cash handling, including a basic understanding of banking principles.
Able to work branch hours, including weekends, and some evenings.
At least one year of experience working in banking, retail, or a customer service role.

Responsibilities

Accurately and confidently process customer deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, cash checks, and other transactions.
Process a variety of customer transactions and requests including stop payment requests, funds transfer requests, address changes, and account research.
Educate customers on a full range of retail products and services including deposit accounts, non-equity consumer loans, credit cards, cash management, merchant services, and safe deposit boxes.
Facilitate ongoing relationship servicing with existing customers to nurture loyalty and retention as well as acquire additional business.
Recommend cross-sell opportunities by asking customers open-ended questions.
Identify and recommend non-equity consumer loan products through interviewing customers and understanding their needs.
Provide and accept loan applications, including creating and forwarding packages to the Bank’s Consumer Lending Department.
