About The Position

At Bank of America, the Relationship Banker helps clients with their financial needs while supporting the bank’s commitment to Responsible Growth. The role engages clients in the financial center lobby, educates them about self-service resources such as mobile banking, online banking, and ATMs, and assists with transactions. It also includes accurately processing cash transactions when needed.

The banker builds relationships by learning about clients’ financial and life priorities, identifying solutions that fit their needs, and connecting them with relevant experts in small business, lending, and investments. The position supports an effective client experience, manages financial center traffic and appointments, and follows established processes and applicable laws and regulations. This is a first-shift role scheduled for 40 hours per week, with weekend and/or extended-hour availability required. The posted locations are financial centers in Bellingham, Burlington, and Mount Vernon, Washington.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, secondary school education, or equivalent.
• Enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and a focus on results and clients’ best interests.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and build and nurture strong relationships.
• Passion, commitment, and drive to improve clients’ financial lives.
• Confidence identifying solutions for new and existing clients based on their needs.
• Effective and confident communication skills and comfort engaging with all clients.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new information and technology platforms.
• Confidence educating clients about simple banking transactions through ATMs, online banking, and mobile banking.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow established processes and guidelines, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and act in the interests of clients and the bank.
• Ability to manage time and capacity efficiently and focus on results while acting in clients’ best interests.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours, potentially at any financial center within a reasonable distance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services products and solutions.
• One year of demonstrated successful sales experience in a salary-plus-incentive environment with individual sales goals.
• Six months of cash-handling experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or business-relevant associate degree, such as business management, business administration, or finance.
