About The Position

As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you represent the Chase brand and culture by providing welcoming, attentive service and using banking solutions and financial technology to create memorable client experiences. You take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining client relationships, using financial knowledge to recommend thoughtful solutions that address clients’ needs and contribute to branch success.

The role requires compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. It is subject to Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements and requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act. Continued employment depends on meeting these requirements, including successful registration after starting and completion of required renewals and updates. Applicants must also meet the stated licensing requirements or obtain required licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or another related industry, with proven success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
• Ability to create memorable client experiences.
• Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
• Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet risk and compliance obligations, including required training.
• High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including Series 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. Unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire; study materials and support are provided.
• Must satisfy Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements and NMLS registration requirements under the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after the start date and timely annual renewal and updates.
• Employment is contingent on JPMC’s review of criminal conviction history, credit report, NMLS information, and other information relevant to financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness. Any felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies applicants.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, friendly service and create a welcoming environment for clients.
• Manage assigned clients and meet with them in person and by phone to build relationships, understand financial needs, and recommend tailored products and services.
• Communicate clearly and consultatively, asking questions and listening to understand and anticipate client needs.
• Educate clients about and connect them to technology solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
• Learn banking products, services, and procedures to consult effectively with clients and connect them with experts for specialized financial needs.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
• Operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
• Work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
