About The Position

As a Relationship Banker in a Chase branch, you represent the Chase brand and culture by providing welcoming, attentive service and using banking solutions and financial technology to create memorable client experiences. You lead the acquisition, management, and retention of client relationships, using financial knowledge to recommend thoughtful solutions that address clients’ needs and contribute to branch success.

The position is subject to Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. Employment is contingent on JPMC’s review of relevant records and a determination of financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness. A felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies applicants. The role also requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act, successful registration immediately after starting, and completion of annual renewals and required updates. Continued employment depends on compliance with these requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sales experience in retail banking, financial services, or a related industry, with proven success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
• Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
• Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
• Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail and provide a consistent client experience.
• Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
• High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• SIE exam, FINRA Series 6, applicable state registration (including Series 63 if required), and Life licenses. Applicants who are not licensed must obtain licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire; study materials and support are provided.
• Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
• Meet Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements and comply with SAFE Act NMLS registration requirements, including registration after starting and timely annual renewals and updates.

• Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and over the phone to build relationships, understand their financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
• Communicate clearly, politely, and consultatively; ask questions and listen to understand clients, anticipate needs, and build trust.
• Educate clients about and connect them with technology solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
• Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients about banking solutions.
• Collaborate with and connect clients to other team experts for specialized financial needs.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
