The Relationship Banker is a sales-focused retail banking professional responsible for acquiring new clients, deepening existing relationships, and contributing to branch growth. Most of the role is devoted to proactive sales, including assessing clients’ financial needs, recommending banking products and services, opening accounts, following up on leads, generating referrals, and building long-term relationships. The position has individual sales and production goals and contributes to branch goals for client acquisition, deposit growth, product adoption, relationship expansion, and qualified referrals. A smaller portion of the role involves helping clients with Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) transactions and educating them about digital and self-service banking options. The role includes providing personalized, needs-based financial guidance; recommending consumer banking products and services; documenting client interactions and sales activity; and partnering with branch leadership and internal business partners to address client needs and expand relationships. The Relationship Banker also provides limited ITM assistance and routine client support while maintaining primary responsibility for sales and relationship development. The employee must follow bank policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and risk-management expectations; complete account openings and related documentation accurately; protect confidential client information; and identify potential fraud or suspicious activity. Candidates must successfully complete applicable background and credit checks. Employment is contingent on obtaining and maintaining required NMLS registration and complying with the S.A.F.E. Act and related regulations. Other duties may be assigned. The stated pay range is $25.50–$31.00 per hour.
