The Relationship Banker is a sales-focused retail banking professional responsible for acquiring new clients, deepening existing relationships, and contributing to branch growth. Most of the role is dedicated to proactive sales, including financial needs assessments, product recommendations, account openings, lead follow-up, referrals, and long-term relationship building. The position has individual sales and production goals and contributes to branch goals for client acquisition, deposit growth, product adoption, relationship expansion, and qualified referrals. A smaller portion of the role involves assisting clients with Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) transactions and educating them about digital and self-service banking options. The Relationship Banker provides personalized, needs-based financial guidance; recommends appropriate banking products and services; documents client interactions and sales activity; and partners with branch leadership and internal business partners to resolve client needs and expand relationships. The role also supports routine client questions and basic branch service needs when necessary, while maintaining primary responsibility for sales and relationship development. The position requires adherence to bank policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and risk-management expectations. Candidates must successfully complete applicable background and credit checks. Employment is contingent on obtaining and maintaining any required registration through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) under the S.A.F.E. Act and related regulations.
