About The Position

Responsible for providing an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone by developing and expanding new and existing client relationships. Provides financial solutions based on consultative conversations and refers clients to other business partners for additional business opportunities. The role is cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed. The position exercises proficiency in client maintenance, problem resolution, and sales involving deposit, credit, convenience, and other products and services. It contributes to individual and branch service and sales goals, supports the team sales process, and advises clients on consumer lending options and loan applications. The banker follows operational controls, procedures, and risk policies, and provides a consistent, courteous experience while conducting transactions and helping clients navigate the branch. The role participates in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines and ongoing sales, service, and product training.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education.
At least 2 years of client sales and service experience.
Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including applicable registration and NMLS background check requirements, and meet ongoing regulatory requirements.
Ability to multitask under time constraints.
Ability to travel as needed to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes.
Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnight stays may be included.

Responsibilities

Handle routine client maintenance requests and resolve problems; perform sales functions for deposit, credit, convenience, and other product and service lines.
Contribute to client service and individual and branch sales targets by offering products and services and developing, expanding, and retaining client relationships.
Conduct consultative conversations and address or refer complex client needs and financial goals to internal specialists.
Participate in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
Develop sales techniques and product knowledge by attending meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
Advise clients on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies; stay current on policy and procedure changes.
Provide courteous client service during transactions, including teller transactions as needed, and help greet clients and navigate the branch.
