About The Position

The Senior Relationship Banker provides an industry-leading client service experience by developing and expanding new and existing client relationships. The role offers financial solutions based on consultative conversations and refers clients to other business partners for additional growth opportunities. The banker is cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed, including teller transactions. This position leads branch sales initiatives and acts as an expert resource, while adhering to operational procedures, internal controls, risk policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. The role is regular, requires English fluency, is designated as first shift, and requires Saturday work as indicated in the title.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education.
Four years of client sales and service experience.
Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including willingness to interact with clients and prospects.
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transferred registration and applicable NMLS background check; must meet applicable financial responsibility, character, credit fitness, and criminal background standards and ongoing regulatory requirements.
Ability to multitask under time constraints.
Ability to travel as required to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes.
Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnight stays may be included.

Responsibilities

Handle routine client maintenance requests, resolve problems, and perform advanced sales activities involving deposit, credit, convenience, and other products and services.
Help meet or exceed individual and branch client-service and sales targets by offering products and services and developing, expanding, and retaining client relationships.
Conduct consultative conversations and address or refer complex client needs and financial goals to internal specialists.
Participate in all components of Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
Develop sales techniques and product knowledge through meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
Advise clients on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies; stay current on policy and procedure changes to ensure compliance.
Lead sales initiatives within the branch and act as an expert resource.
Provide courteous, professional service during transactions, engaging clients and identifying their needs.
Perform teller duties and transactions as needed.
