About The Position

At Regions, the Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone while contributing to customers’ financial wellness. The role builds personal connections while processing transactions, identifies ways to meet customer needs, and helps resolve customer service inquiries. It offers an entry point for candidates with teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are interested in career growth and development. The successful candidate is ambitious and adaptable, communicates effectively, and educates customers about banking options and digital services. The position is based at the Southside Jackson location in Jackson, Tennessee. It is listed as full-time, 30 hours, and is incentive eligible. Hours worked in excess of 40 per week must be tracked; the position is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and maintaining sustained attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Provide an optimal customer experience on the cash line while processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
Answer customer inquiries about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests, including new or replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
Develop customer relationships and stay informed about each customer’s relationship with the bank.
Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to resolve customer problems.
Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals or needs are identified.
Follow bank processes, procedures, laws, and regulations; complete duties delegated by the Branch Manager; and help ensure sound banking practices by managing, identifying, and reporting operational risks.
Contribute to branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
May make outbound calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to educate customers about emerging technology and assist with their financial needs.
