About The Position

At Regions, the Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone while helping improve customers’ financial wellness. The position is full-time and incentive eligible. It is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act, with time tracked for hours worked beyond 40 per week. The target pay range is listed as a minimum of $37,621.05 and a median of $44,536.00; actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, location, and performance. The role is based at the Opelika Main Gateway Drive location in Opelika, Alabama.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
• Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
• Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
• Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
• Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide an optimal customer experience on the cash line while processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
• Answer customer inquiries about products and services and fulfill basic service requests, including card replacement, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
• Develop customer relationships and stay informed about each customer’s relationship with the bank.
• Educate customers about standard consumer products and digital banking options, including mobile, online, and ATM services.
• Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to resolve customer problems.
• Refer customers to internal experts when complex financial goals or needs are identified.
• Follow bank processes, procedures, laws, and regulations; complete duties assigned by the Branch Manager and help manage, identify, and report operational risks.
• Contribute to branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
• May make outbound calls to customers and prospects from generated lead lists to explain emerging technology and assist with financial needs.
