About The Position

At Regions, the Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone while helping improve customers’ financial wellness. The role creates personal connections while processing transactions, identifies ways Regions can meet customer needs, and helps resolve customer service inquiries from start to finish. It is an opportunity for someone with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience to begin a career with opportunities for growth and development. The successful candidate is ambitious and adaptable, and is committed to educating customers about banking options and providing personalized service. The position is full time, based in Morrow, Georgia, and is eligible for incentive pay and overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week. Saturdays may be required as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Provide a consistent, optimal customer experience on the cash line while processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
Answer customer inquiries about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests, including new or replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
Develop customer relationships and remain informed about customers’ relationships with the bank.
Educate customers about standard consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
Assist branch and fellow team members with basic tasks that support customer problem resolution.
Refer customers to internal experts when complex financial goals and needs are identified.
Follow bank processes and procedures and applicable laws and regulations, complete duties delegated by the Branch Manager, and help manage, identify, and report operational risks.
Contribute to branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
May make outbound calls to customers and prospects from generated lead lists to explain emerging technology and help meet their financial needs.
