About The Position

At Regions, the Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience in person and by phone while supporting customers’ financial wellness. The position is full-time, based in Lafayette, Indiana, and may involve outbound calls to customers and prospects. It is incentive-eligible and eligible for overtime for hours worked beyond 40 per week.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Provide an optimal customer experience while processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
Answer customer inquiries about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests, including card requests, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
Develop customer relationships and stay informed about each customer’s relationship with the bank.
Educate customers about standard consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
Assist branch and team members with basic tasks that support customer problem resolution.
Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals or needs are identified.
Follow bank processes and procedures and applicable laws and regulations; complete duties assigned by the Branch Manager and help manage, identify, and report operational risks.
Help achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
May make outbound calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to educate customers on emerging technology and support their financial needs.
