Reinsurance Actuarial Managing Director
About The Position
Aon is hiring a Reinsurance Actuarial Managing Director with a strong analytics background and familiarity with reinsurance pricing, stochastic modeling, and capital allocation. The role helps broker teams achieve successful reinsurance placements and optimize outcomes for clients, articulates cost-benefit trade-offs to decision makers, and relies on strong teamwork. The Managing Director manages client-specific deliverables related to reinsurance renewals and special projects, prepares communications for submissions and proposals, presents to clients, and represents Aon at client and industry events where appropriate. The role also supports technical negotiations, product innovation, new-business prospecting, collaboration across Aon, and management leadership.
Requirements
- 12 years of reinsurance actuarial experience.
- Proficiency in R, Python, C, or Java.
- Strong analytics background and familiarity with reinsurance pricing, stochastic modeling, and capital allocation.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred ACAS or FCAS credential.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple client-specific deliverables related to reinsurance renewals and other special projects.
- Organize and prepare effective communications for submissions and proposals.
- Deliver client presentations and represent Aon as a speaker at client and industry events where appropriate.
- Provide advocacy in technical negotiations with third parties and expertise to support colleagues.
- Work with brokers to develop innovations to existing risk-transfer products or new products.
- Support efforts to prospect new business by analyzing prospect companies using public data, researching publicly disclosed issues, generating peer or industry studies, and developing targeted content addressing client or prospect needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues outside the reinsurance group where appropriate.
- Support management leadership and comply with company policies and procedures; lead by example.
