About The Position

Viridian Staffing's Client is looking for a Managing Director of Retail in the Puget Sound / Seattle, Washington, area. As the Retail Operations Leader, you will oversee all retail store daily operations for Cannabis Retail Stores in the Puget Sound area. You will provide direct oversight and support to all departments of the organization from Purchasing & Receiving to Sales and Finance & HR. You will partner closely with leadership to ensure KPIs and metrics are met and all locations strive for continuous improvement. You should be compliance-focused, while also creating a customer-focused environment. You will continue the refinement and execution of Standard Operating Procedures, while also developing new SOPs to ensure continued compliance with Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) laws and rules. This role is for a results-driven, inspiring, retail management leader with experience leading a fast-paced retail environment, a passion for Cannabis, and excels at motivating, coaching, training, and mentoring staff.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building retail teams focused on continuous improvement as either a General Manager, Executive Director, or C-Level leader of a bricks and mortar retail establishment.
  • Experience in the Cannabis Industry is ideal.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and accustomed to wearing multiple hats.
  • Ability to oversee departments and also do day-to-day work in finance, marketing, HR, supply chain management, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA (ideally) in Business Administration.
  • Exceptional communication and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire teams of more than 50 people.
