About The Position

This role is in support of Cencora's patient and provider support and pharma commercialization services in Canada marketed through our Innomar Strategies business. The Senior Reimbursement Specialist will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.

Requirements

  • University Degree in a related industry
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or healthcare-related industries
  • Bilingual (French & English) is required
  • Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Effective organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office Programs

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Team Lead to all Reimbursement Specialists within the program by being a resource for them
  • Daily and ongoing communication with Program Manager / Associate Program Manager for new and existing projects
  • Ongoing evaluation of internal reimbursement processes
  • Reimbursement process and protocol development and maintenance as assigned by the Program Manager / Associate Program Manager
  • Implementation of processes and protocols with the Program Manager / Associate Program Manager
  • Implement departmental KPIs as directed by the Program Manager / Associate Program Manager
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental KPI activities and provide report to the Program Manager / Associate Program Manager
  • Be responsible for closing manager schedule / shifts
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects required in order to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients
  • Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician’ offices and healthcare professionals in order to maximize reimbursement solutions
  • Coordinate documents, submissions and all related paperwork to insurance companies, public/federal funding programs
  • Implement Financial Means Test as required in an effort to maximize patient’s prescription drug coverage
  • Coordinate pharmacy processes required once funding has been obtained
  • Acquire in depth knowledge of public/private and federal funding mechanisms
  • Responsible to report all Adverse Events to the assigned units/departments
