About The Position
The Reimbursement Coordinator of Collections is responsible for collecting and managing account payments, submitting claims, and following up with insurance companies to ensure payment fulfillment. The position is eligible for 100% remote work, provided the employee resides in a state where Enhabit currently operates: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MO, MS, MT, NC, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WY. The role requires daily completion of billing tasks, account monitoring, timely claim submission, and research and resolution of rejected or denied claims. Employees must maintain a valid driver license and automobile liability insurance in their state of residence. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain a valid state driver license in the current state of residence.
- Maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law.
- Oral and written communication skills, fluency in English, and active listening.
- Demonstrated intermediate technology skills, especially Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of demonstrated experience with Medicare or related billing functions is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete billing tasks daily and ensure minimal write-off of reimbursement dollars.
- Monitor and maintain assigned accounts.
- Collect the information necessary to prepare insurance claims.
- Submit clean claims accurately and on time to insurance companies, electronically or on paper according to payor guidelines.
- Research, correct, and resubmit rejected and denied claims.
- Prepare appeals for denied claims.
