About The Position

The Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I supports rehabilitation therapists and helps deliver patient care. The role involves assisting with therapists’ daily patient care and therapy activities, setting up equipment, maintaining a safe working environment, and collaborating with therapists, nurses, and the broader healthcare team. The technician also helps facilitate communication with patients, families, and caregivers; prepares and transports patients according to schedule; and communicates observations and outcomes of patient care activities to therapists.

Requirements

• Completion of elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I, or equivalent training in school or on the job.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred, unless hospital policy requires otherwise.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists’ daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Set up equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
