About The Position

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is hiring a Rehabilitation Technician at Kindred Hospital The Palm Beaches LTAC on an as-needed PRN schedule. The role supports patient therapy under the direction of an OTR/RPT, helps patients work toward therapy goals, and contributes to safe, effective rehabilitation care. The technician transports patients, communicates with the rehabilitation team, observes patient responses to treatment, and handles equipment and supplies using proper body mechanics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Appropriate telephone communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Six to twelve months of relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting is strongly recommended.
• CPR certification when required.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient care tasks determined by the OTR/RPT to help patients achieve therapy goals.
• Safely transport patients to and from therapy and other activities.
• Communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with members of the rehabilitation team.
• Observe and recognize patient reactions to treatment, and follow instructions accurately.
• Regularly lift and carry equipment, supplies, and materials weighing up to 50 lbs, using proper body mechanics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
