About The Position

Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 59-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. The hospital offers customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those served through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs and holds Joint Commission Certification, with specialty Stroke and Brain Injury Certification and programs, as well as CARF Certification. The Rehabilitation Technician follows patient care-related tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to assist the patient in achieving optimal goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6-12 months relevant experience strongly recommended in a rehab setting
  • CPR certification (when required)
  • Willing to participate in on-the-job training after initial orientation
  • Visual acuity to perceive patient reactions to treatment and to read instructions

Responsibilities

  • Follows patient care-related tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to assist the patient in achieving optimal goals
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to members of the rehabilitation team
  • Lift and carry equipment, supplies and materials up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Other duties as assigned
