About The Position

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a full-time Rehabilitation Technician for UP Health System - Marquette. This role involves working in both rehab and acute care settings, assisting Physical Therapists (PT) and Occupational Therapists (OT) with treatment sessions, activities of daily living (ADLs), and patient transport. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and stock of the rehab gym. The position is driven by a profound commitment to prioritize employee well-being to ensure exceptional patient care, aiming to make communities healthier.

Requirements

• high school diploma or equivalent
• CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• 6-12 months of relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting strongly recommended; willing to participate in on-the-job training after orientation

Responsibilities

• Follow patient care tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to help patients achieve therapy goals.
• Safely transport patients to and from therapy and other activities.
• Communicate clearly (verbally and in writing) with members of the rehabilitation team.
• Observe and recognize patient reactions to treatment; follow instructions accurately.
• Lift and carry equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis; use proper body mechanics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
