About The Position

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Rehab Supervisor. The supervisor acts as the main liaison for therapists, patients, and families, managing daily hospital operations. We are seeking a dynamic Rehab Therapist with strong leadership skills to thrive in our fast-paced hospital environment, fostering positivity and empathy within our expanding team. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with oversight of daily acute care PT/OT/SLP operations and staffing. Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a Healthcare related field
• 2-5 years of experience
• Supervisor Experience < 2 years
• Cert/Lic in Area of Expertise

Responsibilities

• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
• Directs, provides and ensures the delivery of outcome-oriented patient care in a safe, clean environment following all external regulations and internal quality standards.
• Plans, coordinates and supervises the clinical aspects of physical, occupational and speech therapies.
• Supervises the standard of proper documentation implemented and ensures it is maintained by department staff, within the proper time restraints required.
