About The Position

The Rehabilitation Aide prepares patients for treatment and assists therapists in treating patients. The role helps maintain the Therapy Department, its equipment, supplies, linens, and work areas in a neat, clean, and orderly condition. The aide also performs routine administrative and messenger duties that support department operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior patient care experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Basic computer data entry and retrieval skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for treatment by therapists.
Independently transport patients to and from the department using a stretcher or wheelchair.
Assemble and place equipment and supplies for use.
Position patients for treatment and assist with transfers.
Assist therapists during therapy.
Assist professional staff with ordering supplies.
Order linens and maintain the linen closet in a neat and orderly condition.
Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
Perform duties essential to department operations, including taking messages, entering and retrieving basic information using a computer, and performing messenger duties.
Transport equipment and supplies.
Assist in workshops as required.
Perform related duties as required.
