About The Position
Prepares patients for treatment and assists Therapists in treating patients. Maintains the Therapy Department in a neat, orderly, and clean condition. The role also supports essential department functions, including handling messages, basic computer data entry and retrieval, messenger duties, and assistance with workshops as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior patient care experience required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Basic computer data entry and retrieval skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatment by a Therapist.
- Independently transport patients to and from the department using a stretcher or wheelchair.
- Assemble and place equipment and supplies for use.
- Position patients for treatment and assist with transfers.
- Assist therapists during therapy.
- Assist professional staff with ordering supplies.
- Order linens and maintain the linen closet in a neat and orderly condition.
- Keep equipment and the working area clean and orderly.
- Perform essential department duties, including taking messages, entering and retrieving basic information using a computer, and messenger duties.
- Transport equipment and supplies.
- Assist in workshops as required.
- Perform related duties as required.
