About The Position

The Rehabilitation Aide is non-professional personnel working under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Therapist. The role assists therapists with age-appropriate patient treatment, supports therapists with administrative duties as needed, and performs general departmental duties in Rehabilitation Services. The aide follows system and department policies and procedures and incorporates continuous quality improvement, customer service, and teamwork into daily work.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or BLS Instructor certification, required upon hire.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with age-appropriate patient treatment, including occasionally providing a second set of hands.
• Provide general administrative support for therapists as needed.
• Perform general departmental duties in Rehabilitation Services.
• Maintain a safe and clean patient care environment.
• Maintain equipment.
• Ensure the availability of supplies.
• Follow system and department policies and procedures.
• Incorporate continuous quality improvement, customer service, and teamwork into daily work.
