About The Position

Prepares patients for treatment and assists therapists in treating patients. Maintains the Therapy Department, equipment, supplies, and work areas in a neat, orderly, and clean condition. Performs related duties that support the department’s daily operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior patient care experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Basic computer data-entry and retrieval skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for treatment by a therapist.
Independently transport patients to and from the department using a stretcher or wheelchair.
Assemble and position equipment and supplies for use.
Position patients for treatment and assist with transfers.
Assist therapists during therapy.
Assist professional staff with ordering supplies.
Order linens and maintain the linen closet in a neat and orderly condition.
Keep equipment and the work area clean and orderly.
Perform department support duties, including taking messages, entering and retrieving basic information using a computer, and carrying out messenger duties.
Transport equipment and supplies.
Assist in workshops as required.
Perform related duties as required.
