Rehab Trainer and DME Coordinator - Orthopedics
About The Position
The Rehab Trainer and DME Coordinator collaborates with Physicians to provide patient education and coordination related to durable medical equipment (DME). This role involves fitting and dispensing equipment in the clinic and surgery as per physician orders. The coordinator is responsible for coordinating DME needs for surgical cases, obtaining insurance authorizations when required, and ensuring accurate documentation, charge entry, and billing coordination. Additionally, they will maintain inventory levels, order and track equipment, and work with vendors to resolve supply issues. This position requires maintaining knowledge of DME products, orthopedic terminology, and regulatory requirements while working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in exercise related studies.
- 1 year of clinical experience.
- Certification within 1 year of employment.
- AHA BLS.
Nice To Haves
- Athletic Trainer Certification license.
