About The Position

The Rehab Therapy Manager oversees, guides, and mentors the rehab team to ensure patient plans of care are followed. The manager directs rehab service operations, supports staff development and supervision, ensures services match patients’ scope and level of care, and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration for quality and efficient service delivery. The role serves as a liaison between the Rehab Therapy department and the Chief Nursing Officer to advance staff, services, and rehab programs, and assists with daily department operations.

The position is full-time at Select Specialty Hospital - Quad Cities, a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date or within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, guide, and mentor the rehab team to ensure patient plans of care are followed.
• Direct rehab services operations, including staff interviews, orientation, performance appraisals, employee development, and supervision.
• Schedule rehab therapy staff.
• Ensure rehab services are appropriate to the scope and level of care for the patients served.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration to support quality and efficient service delivery.
• Serve as a liaison between the Rehab Therapy department and the Chief Nursing Officer to further develop staff, services, and rehab programs.
• Promote professional development, education, and competency of rehab staff.
• Recognize department needs and assist with daily operations.
