About The Position

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Rehab Therapy Extern (PT/OT/SLP students) for PRN weekend shifts (8a-4:30p) at their inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. This hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a physical, occupational, or speech therapy academic program.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in the rehabilitation process through the provision of requested activities, under the direction of a therapist.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and the physical plant for daily activities.
