About The Position

Excel at Woodbury, located in Nassau County, has an opportunity for a Full-Time Rehab Tech. This role involves performing various duties to support the rehabilitation department and ensure resident well-being.

Requirements

Full-time availability
Ability to perform floor ambulation for residents
Ability to perform AAROM/PROM
Ability to clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment
Ability to transfer residents
Ability to follow MD orders for splints/braces
Ability to report resident status changes to management
Proficiency in EMR documentation
Ability to perform group wellness exercises

Responsibilities

Perform all floor ambulation for all residents as prescribed by the rehab department/MD
Perform AAROM/PROM for all residents as indicated
Perform cleaning and sanitizing of all surfaces and equipment being used as part of the functional maintenance program
Transfer residents in/out of the wheelchair as part of a functional maintenance program
Ensure splints/braces are applied/removed by nursing staff as per MD order and in accordance with wearing schedule
Report any inconsistencies, functional changes, skin integrity issues (if noted) of a resident to the nursing manager and/or rehab director as needed.
Document all FAP distance, level of assistance (in nursing terms) daily in EMR
Perform group wellness exercises with residents on the units (if applicable) as directed by Rehab therapy staff
Other duties as assigned by Rehab director
