Excel Rehab and Sports - Rehab Tech (Full Time)
About The Position
Excel Rehab and Sports, an Alliance Physical Therapy Partner, is hiring a full-time Rehab Tech (Physical Therapy Aide). The Rehabilitation Technician works under the general supervision of the Clinic Director and the direct supervision of therapists and therapist assistants. The role supports therapy treatment plans by preparing and cleaning treatment areas, obtaining supplies, transporting and positioning patients, and assisting patients and clinical staff. The technician may also perform routine clerical tasks supporting the front office. Work must follow facility, departmental, regulatory, and payor policies, procedures, and guidelines. Duties may be expanded as needed by senior management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
Nice To Haves
- Prior healthcare experience.
- Current physical therapy student.
Responsibilities
- Provide care according to physician orders and the plan of care developed by the evaluating therapist.
- Transport patients to and from Rehabilitation Services departments.
- Prepare patients for treatment and assist professional staff with patient treatments.
- Communicate with patients, families, significant others, and healthcare team members to promote maximum benefits from care.
- Obtain equipment, materials, and supplies from storage areas or appropriate departments and prepare them for use.
- Maintain therapy departments in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform routine clerical support tasks, which may include reception, telephone, billing, ordering supplies, and collecting facility or department statistics.
- Provide an environment conducive to the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
- Assess safety risks and implement appropriate precautions.
- Comply with approved security and safety standards.
