About The Position
The Rehab Co-op assists with patient care, organizes and cleans treatment areas, and performs office duties as needed under the direction of a licensed occupational, physical, or speech-language therapist or a supervisor. The role supports therapists and assistants, helps maintain the physical environment, linens, and equipment, and contributes to patient safety and therapy services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to organize and prioritize.
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong patient and customer service skills.
- Ability to assist with medical examinations and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist therapists and assistants with patient care.
- Assist with daily upkeep of the physical environment, linens, and equipment maintenance.
- Meet regularly with Rehabilitation staff to update therapy programs and assess their effectiveness.
- Remain alert to patient safety at all times.
- Clean therapy mats daily using established departmental procedures.
- Assist the Rehabilitation Therapist with treatment as directed.
