About The Position
The Rehab Aide works in an outpatient physical therapy setting, assisting therapists with rehabilitation procedures and supporting center operations. The role includes observing and reporting patient responses, maintaining equipment, and coordinating or overseeing assigned center functions. The position is part-time, scheduled Monday through Friday, at the Portage, Indiana location. Compensation is $12.50–$13.00, based on experience. Benefits described are for full-time employees working 32 or more hours per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a pre-health profession, such as biology, rehabilitation sciences, or exercise science.
- CPR certification.
- First aid certification.
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy center.
Responsibilities
- Assist therapists in carrying out rehabilitation procedures.
- Organize and schedule ancillary services, keep related records, and support other center-specific functions.
- Observe and report abnormal patient conditions, reactions, or responses to treatment.
- Take a significant role in an assigned area of center operations, such as scheduling and following up on ancillary services, overseeing a specific program, or serving as OSHA coordinator.
- Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment.
