About The Position

This is a student opportunity for a Regulatory Student position. The role involves meaningful, diverse, and challenging assignments working alongside industry-leading professionals. The student will be part of a driven and collaborative team completing important projects while receiving mentorship, knowledge, and experience to develop skills for a career. The Regulatory Student will report to the Business Services Senior Manager and support the Senior Regulatory Advisor in managing regulatory processes related to the safe operations of the SeaRose FPSO production installation and Atlantic Region regulatory approval processes. This role will be involved in several administrative functions supporting regulatory compliance management. Consistent with the Accords Act, residents of Newfoundland and Labrador specifically and Canada generally, who are qualified, will be given first consideration for training and employment.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
  • Available to begin work in Sept 2026
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Products)
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced, hard-working, team environment.
  • Flexible to changing work demands and ability to prioritize.
  • Innovative, with a strong desire to learn and the ability to encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes, or solutions.
  • Demonstrates collaboration by actively seeking out diverse people and organizations to collectively achieve business goals.
  • Must be enrolled in a Business Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
  • Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
  • New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for, facilitate, and distribute minutes of meetings for the Atlantic Region Regulatory Management Committee.
  • Manage the regulatory compliance event registry to provide reminders for regulatory submissions / action closure and distribute a monthly report on completed and forecasted activities.
  • Compile regulatory actions / comment received from C-NLOPB for tracking and record updates as required.
  • Prepare quarterly operations updates to the C-NLOPB based on inputs from operations teams.
  • Administer the database of regulatory exemptions.
  • Additional tasks required by the Business Services team, as directed.
