About The Position

Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, has a future need for a Regulatory Specialist to join its industry leading service team supporting the new NYC Legionella compliance for LL77 and Bill 1390. This role will support customers with local regulation around NYC Legionella compliance for LL77 and Bill 1390, including sampling, inspections, audits, technical support and training. The specialist will also execute required chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at customer accounts. Additionally, they will provide technical support to customers, identifying and resolving customer challenges, and establishing effective working relationships with a variety of customers to partner on best practices. The role involves inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining chemical feed equipment and process monitoring equipment, conducting regular compliance sampling and reporting, training customers on water quality responsibilities, ensuring remediations are carried out properly, and assisting with scheduling. A key responsibility is creating and maintaining Water Management Plans for customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Immigration sponsorship not available
  • Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces damp and/or dusty locations, hot conditions; heights
  • Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, use hands to finger, balancing, walking, standing, talk and hear;
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam.
  • Must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience
  • Working knowledge cooling towers, and water treatment control systems
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Support customers with local regulation around NYC Legionella compliance for LL77 and Bill 1390. Including sampling, inspections, audits, technical support and training.
  • Execute required chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at customer accounts
  • Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer challenges, escalating as required.
  • Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers and partner with them on best practices.
  • Inspect, calibrate and maintain chemical feed equipment and process monitoring equipment at customer accounts
  • Conduct regular compliance sampling and reporting to support water system permits.
  • Train customers on water quality responsibilities.
  • Ensure remediations are carried out properly
  • Assist with scheduling when needed
  • Create and maintain Water Management Plans for customers.
