About The Position

Leidos is seeking motivated and detail-oriented students for their Summer 2027 Internship Program. As a Regulatory Document Intern, you will join the Digital Sector supporting the Program Operations team on the Global Solutions Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract. This position is 100% remote, offering exposure to program operations, government contracting processes, and cross-functional collaboration within a large global defense organization. The intern will assist in managing critical documentation and contract deliverables (CDRLs) to ensure the GSM-O II contract remains compliant and progresses. This role provides direct insight into government contracting and the operational support functions essential to a major defense contractor.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Currently pursuing a degree (Business, English, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Basic proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment, manage multiple tasks, and coordinate across different functional groups.
  • Candidates must be based in the United States and have a reliable internet connection to support remote work and video conferencing capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • A strong interest in government contracting, technical writing, or program operations.
  • Experience with academic or internship-based report writing, editing, or documentation.
  • Familiarity with project coordination, administrative support tasks, or SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with IT and software terminology.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet strict delivery deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the tracking, organizing, and management of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables across GSM-O II and other division programs.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of critical document submissions to government customers.
  • Gain hands-on experience helping to prepare, review, and format official reports and deliverables for submission.
  • Participate in team meetings, assisting with the documentation and tracking of action items.
  • Coordinate with technical and operational team members to ensure delivery timelines and compliance requirements are understood.
  • Maintain highly organized records of all documentation and delivery statuses.
  • Support ongoing process improvement efforts, AI integration, and documentation standardization initiatives.
