In Regulatory Affairs, we help the business achieve its business goals by working with regulators and other stakeholders. Today’s business needs innovative regulatory programs, built on a solid foundation of regulatory knowledge. Regulatory filings before the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) consist of required filings and those initiated by the Company. Required filings include those ordered by previous Commission decisions (e.g., general rate case proceedings, annual operating and energy cost filings), and those required as part of Commission investigations. Among the filings initiated by the Company are proposals for recovery of costs not covered by general rate cases, for new customer programs, for modifications to existing regulations, and for changes to existing tariffs. In any year, there are a wide variety of filings and often new cases are introduced during the year due to actions initiated by the CPUC, or in response to changing business operations. The Regulatory Affairs organization is responsible for planning, coordinating, and preparing regulatory cases, and working with the CPUC to obtain the best possible outcome for the Company and our customers. This position is responsible for coordination, document management, and logistical support for various regulatory proceedings. As a member of the Project Management Team, the Regulatory Case Coordinator is the liaison between key case participants/stakeholders and the Case Manager, collecting and disseminating information and documentation to ensure all internal and external due dates are met. The Regulatory Case Coordinator is responsible for managing their case teams’ SharePoint sites, coordinating the preparation of case documents and assisting their teams with preparing for hearings and settlement proceedings. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland General Office once per week and based on business needs.
