About The Position
This is a new position for a Regular Part-Time Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Ottawa for the Winter 2027 semester. The course, PHI1104-B00 (Great Philosophers), is an historical introduction to philosophy through the study of major philosophers. The course is taught in person and is scheduled for Tuesdays from 16:00 to 17:20 and Thursdays from 14:30 to 15:50. The expected enrollment is 150 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The language of instruction is English.
Requirements
- Ph.D in Philosophy.
- Experience in teaching at university level in Philosophy.
- Competence in English (language of instruction).

Responsibilities
- Teach the course PHI1104-B00 (Great Philosophers) during the Winter 2027 semester.

- Deliver instruction in person during the scheduled class times.
- Potentially complete mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
