About The Position

The gateway for all other Creative Writing offerings, this course provides students with an introductory grounding and practical experience in several genres of writing including fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction. This posting is limited to a Regular Part-Time Professor. The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31. These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay. These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification. The University of Ottawa embraces diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Requirements

Ph.D (English)
A strong publication record in one or more literary genres and/or previous experience teaching creative and/or professional writing.
Employees are under provincial law required to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
