About The Position

This position is for a Student Part-Time Professor to teach Introduction to Interdisciplinary Study in the Arts (AHL1100, Section B00) during the Fall 2026 semester. The course explores at least two disciplines within the Faculty of Arts, focusing on their conjunction to illuminate contemporary situations and debates. It also emphasizes the development of critical reading and academic writing skills. The course is expected to have an enrollment of 100 students and is worth 3 credits. The course will be offered in person on Wednesdays from 14:30 to 17:30. The language of instruction is English.

Requirements

  • Experience of successfully teaching or assistant-teaching university-level courses in Interdisciplinary Studies.
  • Research or teaching experience in interdisciplinary epistemology theory, and method.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

  • Instructor whose own research cuts across disciplines, and is defined by interdisciplinarity.
  • Relevant scholarly research and publications.
