About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach the course "Cinema in the German Speaking Countries/Cinéma dans les pays germanophones" (ALG3330 Section A) during the Winter 2027 semester. The course will study cinema aesthetics and works by major directors from the Weimar period to post-war and post-unification cinema. The course will be delivered via web conference. Requirements

Doctorat en allemand (PhD in German).
Excellente connaissance du cinéma allemand et de la théorie cinématographique (Excellent knowledge of German cinema and film theory).
Bonne connaissance de la langue anglaise parlée et écrite (Excellent spoken and written English).
Expérience de l'enseignement du cinéma allemand en anglais (Experience in teaching German cinema in English).
Bilingue (français et anglais) (Bilingual - French and English).

Responsibilities

Teach the course "Cinema in the German Speaking Countries/Cinéma dans les pays germanophones" (ALG3330 Section A).
Study cinema aesthetics and works by major directors from the Weimar period to post-war and post-unification cinema.
Deliver the course via web conference.
