About The Position
This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach Cours élémentaire de chinois II / Introduction to Chinese II (CHN1902 Section A) during the 2027 Winter Semester in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, Faculty of Arts. The course involves an in-depth study of grammar and vocabulary, with practice in conversation and reading, further developing grammatical knowledge, vocabulary, conversation, and reading skills. The course is expected to have an enrollment of 35 students and is worth 3 credits. The instruction will be in French and English, and competence in a second language is required. The course schedule is Tuesdays from 13:00 to 14:30 and Thursdays from 11:30 to 13:00. The position is for an in-person mode of instruction.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chinese or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching Introductory Chinese.
- Bilingual (French and English).
