About The Position

This course examines how governance structures influence healthcare delivery, promote patient safety, and optimize patient outcomes. Students will analyze case examples and learn from guest speakers to determine the effectiveness of governance structures, critique them, and identify essential contributors to strong healthcare governance. The course also explores ethical management principles, their impact on decision-making, and how they guide leaders through critical events with competing interests. It uses ethical frameworks, speakers, and case examples to aid students in applying these principles.

Requirements

  • Must have an MBA/MHA or Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in an area directly related to Governance and Ethics within healthcare organizations.
  • Must demonstrate recent professional experience in the field of healthcare management or healthcare delivery.
  • Must possess sound knowledge of governance and ethical issues in the area of the course.

  • Demonstrated experience in the development and/or delivery of asynchronous course content.
