About The Position

Study of advertising as social communication. Its relationship with consumer society and the structures of the media and cultural industry. Functionalist and critical approaches to the phenomenon and practice of advertising. Role of advertising in cultural dynamics.

Requirements

  • Hold a Ph.D. or a Master's degree in Communication (preferred).
  • Possess expertise or professional experience directly related to the course content.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience may be considered equivalent to the required education and/or demonstrated experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Teaching experience in the field of the course.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Publicité et société (CMN2573 Section B00) during the 2027 Winter Semester.
  • Engage with students in a classroom setting, including lectures and discussions.
  • Fulfill all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
