About The Position
This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the Winter 2027 semester in the Department of Communication at the Faculty of Arts. The course, CMN2560-B00 (Théories des médias), will explore the theories of relations between media, power, and mass culture, examining major American and European schools of thought. Topics will range from technical dimensions (McLuhan's prophecies) to symbolic and socio-political dimensions (feminism and cultural studies). Requirements
- Ph.D or MA in communication (preferred).
- Possess experience or expertise directly related to the course content.
- Have excellent knowledge of media theory.
- Have teaching experience in media theory (an asset).
