About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the course POL2504 - Introduction à la politique comparée (Introduction to Comparative Politics) during the Winter 2027 semester at the University of Ottawa. The course will be taught in French and will cover the comparative study of internal political phenomena within states, across different historical, cultural, and institutional contexts. It will also explore the methods, theoretical approaches, typologies, and concepts used in the comparative analysis of political phenomena. The course is expected to have an enrollment of 225 students and is worth 3 credits. The course will be offered online in a scheduled, synchronous format with live instruction. The University provides training for online course delivery. The mode of instruction may change due to health or other reasons. Requirements

  • Doctorate or doctoral coursework in the field of the announced course.
  • Teaching experience in the field.
  • Competence in a second language (French is the language of instruction, implying English competence is required).
